Purifying the heart
بسم الله والحمد الله والصلاة واسلام على رسول الله - By Ruh The path to purifying the heart cannot be rushed, as it requires sincerity and conscious action and that path is without a doubt in the remembrance of Allah ﷻ in the heart and the manifestation of said remembrance upon the limbs. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The difference between the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not is like the difference between the living and the dead" - [Sahih al-Bukhari] Shaykh Ibn Taimiyya ( rh ) said: "Remembrance of Allah is to the heart what water is to fish. What happens to a fish when it is taken out of water?" - [Purification of the Soul] What greater remembrance is there than the recitation of the Quran. Immersing oneself the recitation, understanding, contemplation and acting upon the Quran is key to purifying the heart. Allah ﷻ Says: "O humanity!
