Can Allah ﷻ forgive me?

بسم الله والحمد الله والصلاة واسلام على رسول الله By Iffat Anyone that knows me knows I am an inherently confused person who is sure about very few things. That is to emphasize that if I tell you something with certainty then it must be something that I believe in vehemently and earnestly. We sometimes find that when one sins, even when they turn to Allah ﷻ, they still question, can Allah ﷻ forgive me? Now the answer to the question in point is a resounding YES, Allah ﷻ is the Most Forgiving and the Most Merciful. Abu Huraira ( rh ) reported: The Messenger of Allah  ﷺ    said, "When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His book with Him upon the Throne: Verily, My mercy prevails over My wrath." - [Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim] Allah’s Mercy is greater than His Wrath as The Most Merciful says so Himself ﷻ: "O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah's mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed ...

When we feel sad

بسم الله والحمد الله والصلاة واسلام على رسول الله - By Ruh Whenever you feel sad, try to focus on the reason you are here, it is a great anchor for when you may feel lost. Allah (ﷻ) Says: “I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me.” - [Surah adh-Dhariyat Qur’an; 51:56] ˹He is the One˺ Who created death and life in order to test which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving. - [Surah al-Mulk 67:2] Focus on pleasing Allah  (ﷻ)  and He will make you content. Allah  (ﷻ) Says : “Whoever works righteousness — whether male or female — while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).” - [al-Nahl 16:97] This life will come with hardships. Try to be patient through them and ask Allah  (ﷻ)  to assist ...

Why is Allah (ﷻ) testing me?

بسم الله والحمد الله والصلاة واسلام على رسول الله - By Ruh Allah  (ﷻ)  Says: Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test? We certainly tested those before them. And ˹in this way˺ Allah will clearly distinguish between those who are truthful and those who are liars. - [Surah al-'Ankabut 29:2-3] Know that your life will be full of tests and they will take many forms and levels of difficulty, but also know that you will not be tested by anything you cannot bare: Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford. - [Surah al-Baqarah 2:286] Understanding the wisdom behind tests better equips us to struggle through them with patience. We will look at some examples to find comfort in the Guidance of Allah  (ﷻ). It may be a test of our sincerity in our servitude to Allah (ﷻ): Allah  (ﷻ)  Says: “And among mankind is he who worships Allaah as it were upon the edge (i.e. in doubt): if good befalls him, he ...

Finding Jannah

بسم الله والحمد الله وصلاة وسلام على رسول الله - By Ruh It is important to note that we do not find Jannah through our deeds, rather our deeds help us find the Pleasure and Mercy of Allah (ﷻ), and by the Mercy of Allah (ﷻ) do we find Jannah. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Follow the right course, seek nearness to Allah, and give glad tidings. Verily, none of you will enter Paradise by his deeds alone.” They said, “Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Not even me, unless Allah grants me his mercy. Know that the most beloved deed to Allah is that which is done regularly, even if it is small.” - [Sahih al-Bukhair & Sahih Muslim] When it comes to finding Jannah, it is explained in the following hadith: It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah, what are the two things quite unavoidable? He replied: He who dies without associating anyone with Allah would (necessarily) enter Paradise and he who dies ...
